Since 2016, Ana has pursued a freelance career, performing principal and soloist roles at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Komische Oper Berlin, working with directors including Ersan Mondag, Rolando Villazón, Damiano Michieletto, and Tobias Kratzer, while simultaneously engaging with Berlin’s vibrant independent dance scene, exploring contemporary performance and interdisciplinary projects.
Her repertoire spans works by Jiri Kylian, George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Martin Schläpfer, Christian Spück, Youri Vámos, Young Soon Hue, Kevin O’Day, and many others. She has performed leading roles in classical productions such as La Bayadère, Schwanensee, Cinderella, and Romeo and Juliet, as well as in contemporary creations. Alongside her career as a performer, Ana is a dedicated choreographer, curator, and arts manager. Since March 2024, she has served as Managing Director of FRAMED Berlin, a non-profit association employing a multidisciplinary curatorial approach to cultivate a space where diverse, and even opposing, artistic perspectives can meet. Ana continues to shape the performing arts landscape through producing dance performances, events, and concerts that seamlessly integrate choreography, curation, and management.
She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural and Media Management from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, and completed her dance studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, the Heinz Bosl Stiftung, the Académie de Danse Princesse Grace in Monaco, and the Conservatory “Lujo Davico” in Belgrade.
